Sid, wonderful playing of Very Early. You have great command of the fingerboard. I'd like to hear you solo to the chords. Cheers, Charlie

Is the fingerstyle hard in Sid's book? I'm working on honing my flat picking style and was wondering if these arrangements could be played with a pick. I love that dreamy sound of those open string chords, Sid Jacobs' harmony concept really seems to lend itself to solo guitar playing. I'm still working through George Van Eps and Barry Galbraith books myself, great harmonic ideas from these giants as well.

A Very Nice Very Early.
Kevin,
What, exactly, does VERY EARLY refer to? ;=))
Hi Sid....

to me, anything sooner than 8 am is very early, for Bill Evans it may have been slightly later, say jazznoon (6pm) or so. other than that i think it is just a song title.

I worked through Sid's Bill Evans book. It was the best f--king lesson on harmony I've ever had. This guy, joe diorio, ted greene, vic juris, and ralph towner are the highlanders of guitar!

i couldn't agree more as i have taken the same journey. it is unmatched in anything i ever studied for guitar or music in general.
