I think most people feel hostile to people they feel contempt for and people they see as feeling contempt for them. The stereotypical redneck thinks that hippies are middle class brats who look down on him - which is true - and hates them back. There would be fewer hate crimes if we stopped using terms like 'redneck' and 'trailer trash'.

Offensive hate is instinctive hostility to those who are seen as inferior e.g. the old, the weak, the handicapped. It used to be common to throw things at old people in mockery. Defensive hate is e.g. the stereotypical redneck who hates hippies. He feels that hippies are middle class brats who look down on him and his kind, which is basically true. There would be fewer of these hate crimes if we stopped using the word 'redneck' and stereotyping them.

I think your absolutely right I am transsexual & my late brother was gay & we had a LOT of guys in our lives that couldnt care less what our sexual orientation was as they were secure with there own sexuality.

i really hate people who doesnt accept homosexuality.. ive been married w/ the same girl for 5 years now and im very much happy.. im willing to die for her.. i dont care what other people say about us.. all i know is that both our families are so supportive for the two of us and other peoples nonsense comment will not shattered us apart..
