  • Maine Coons, Norweigian Forest Cats and Siberian Forest Cats all get at least that big without being fat. =^.^=

  • 18lbs is actually about average for a Siberian Forest Cat, going by the breed standard. It doesn't note a specific weight but simply states they should feel a "substantial weight" for the cat. These cats have larger bones and frames, they are not like a domestic shorthair who should max out around 8-11lbs. Maine Coons average 20lbs. Stating that no cat should weigh 18lbs is simply not true. It would be like calling a woman fat because she weighs 150lbs.....but she's 6.4".

  • Pas très pratique pour le chat :(

  • Oh god! It came out licking it's chops!!

  • this is such an awsome looking litterbox... i went to their website to price it... are you serious, $180? Clevercat does the same thing for $30... tho it doesn't have its own liner, but other than that its the same thing..

  • @yippee1999 I have used Clever Cat for years because I had a dog that used to eat cat poo like candy so that design totally prevented his from doing that. Plus. the Clever Cat takes up less space when I was living in an apartment and had a cat that like to kick litter everwhere. I;m sure you can paint the thing because Lowe's and Home Depot sell paints for plastic in lots of colors (such as for outdoor plstic furniture).

  • i like watching cats poop.. o yea no i dont

  • @spentarts That's a Siberian, 18 pounds is normal.

  • It's nice, but my 15yo cay can't even climb over the sides of a tall-ish open box. She could never get in, or back out!, of that thing.

  • First I'd like to say this is a cute idea. My litter boxes are in the basement, so style is not an issue.

@madruki a LOT of people use covered boxes without issues of stalking cats. We have three of them and they work just fine. An open tray is completely unnecessary and messy from my experience. I've had cats my whole life.

@nottotouchthearth who uses plastic liners? Why would you waste your money on those? They're excessive and pointless and end up with holes in them from the cats. :/

  • This looks so nice that I finally decided to give-in and order the thing, but when I saw that it would be $208 (once I got finished with shipping/taxes) I changed my mind. I then saw elsewhere that people mentioned a very similar box (though not as attractive) called the CleverCat litterbox. It too has a hole in the top, but it only comes in white. So I wrote CleverCat suggesting they offer other colors to accommodate people like me who care about color options, but refuse to pay ModKat price.
