First off I'd like to apologize for the lack of coverage on this project. I was building it for a friends dad who wanted to be Dr. Horrible for Halloween and it didn't occur to me to post a video about its construction till after it had been made and given to him. So basically, I'm left with what few photos I managed to take during the building process. Each picture was taken at the end of the day ( I worked on it about 4-5 hours per day ) total cost around $100-150

In the first picture you can see the basic form cut from plywood (at this point it's been painted), with pvc pipe as the barrel and vertical ends of the handle, the switch and lights you see in the back i got from FRY's and the horizontal part of the handle is made from wood I found at Home Dep. I used hot glue to kind of secure everything down and fill any holes.

In the next pic I've added the second section of the freeze ray. The side as you can tell is cardboard, with plywood as a base on the bottom. The white parts you see are styrene sheets I cut and added. The two secondary pipes were screwed in and the one on top is a combo of several different pipes I found at Lowes. The handel now has a grip out of DAS clay.

Next with the wiring. This was the hardest part ever, if you know how to wire stuff, do it your own way I have no experience with this. But what I did basically was make a circuit between two blue garden lights (got from Lowes ), the green LED on the back, the switch and the batteries. The batteries are in the two silver boxes on the side. The top and bottom are plywood with cardboard on the sides. The cardboard on the immediate top is secured by velcro so you can replace the batteries. The window on the side with the light is clear styrene with wax paper on the inside to mask the bulb a bit and the clear bulb on the end is a laundry soap filler cup I cut to size.

Basically the smaller details I added are these, the knob on the end there is a tank wheel from a model kit the clear windows on the back next to it are clear styrene again, and the tubes sticking out the side are pvc with plastic tubes I painted hot glued to them. The top and bottom of the handle is covered with a sheet of styrene, and I put a cardboard cover on the top as well.

If you have any further questions please ask, I'm more then willing to help you out if you'd like to know more. But I do not intend to make any others as this one was quite expensive with all the parts I needed plus now I don't think I have the time for it right now.
