@PurpleCow0567 actually, in flashes before your eyes, its his past because that whole thing was about not knowing what time it was :P cuz he thought it was a different year. Its not an alternate reality its his past xD

No no no, in season2 or 3 or whatever Desmond doesn't go to the same alternate reality that we see in season 6. In 'Flashes Before your Eyes' he's with Penny in the reality, but in the reality in season 6 he hasn't even met her.
