This video shows the March 2000 status of Millennium Force, the 310-foot tall record breaking coaster at Cedar Point. At the time this video was shot the coaster had a complete circuit but there was still plenty left to do before it opened 2 months later. Cedar Point was kind enough to invite some enthusiasts to check out the construction up close. Also of note is the testing of the cable lift system. The is one of the first times it had ever been tested.

  • Wow. Look at that beautiful blue paint coat at 1:36. They should really repaint this beast.

  • @bigntasty420 - They did just that for 2011. Despite a few areas, the coaster looks brand new this year!

  • @SeanFlaharty Really! That's great. I leave sunday for a week-long trip to CP. Can't wait to see it. Thanks for the response.

  • @bigntasty420 - You are welcome. Have a great day at the park. I was there yesterday and the lines weren't bad for most of the day.

  • That is so cool to see a like behind the senes of the best ride in the world!

  • @gun714thc - It is always cool to see a ride being built. I went up a few times to watch this coaster being built and each time I saw it up close I couldn't believe it. It's still one of my favorites.

  • Wow I remember all us getting excited to ride MF back then. Its hard to believe you shot this video 10 years ago, and for someone like me who didnt start going to CP until 1999, its now hard to imagine the park without it.

  • @SeanFlaharty ya and i wish like cedar point would give us this a inside scoop on all the coasters and rides they make

  • Is That Look Odd To You? Nope.

  • Time flies doesn't it? The tour in this video seemed like it took place 3 or 4 years ago. I can't believe it has been 10 years. Damn I'm old.
