  • Good example your dad used, wisdom speaking there...

  • Bianca, thank you for bringing a real and biblical perspective to these controversial and important issues. And to clarify to comment below, I have read in the bible that when you are married, your body is no longer yours, it is his and the same applies for him. So it's not exactly "ownership," but it does state you become his and he becomes yours. My husband and I apply this to our marriage and it has been wonderful.

  • @StPatrickEdu It is part of it but it is not a requirment!

  • you go girl!

  • @StPatrickEdu so if you're sterile you shouldn't marry?

  • Why were you having lunch with professors? Did that seem normal to you? Did you look around and notice you were the only one?

Fornication is a sin. The. End.

  • wooo i like this and your dads examples :)

  • @northernsupernova1 Actually husbands and wives do own each other. Read 1 Corinthians 7:4

  • Also, when you are married, that is a promise you are making to God and not just between two people. With that said, making a commitment to God far outweights just two people living together and being "committed" to each other. I believe Bianca is using the paper comments as an example about how important a piece of paper can be, not stating that these are exactly the same

  • Plus, your comment about a car slip or house deed is not a representation, its a proof of ownership. Is the marriage paper a proof of ownership? Does the husband own the woman, or the woman own the man? I guess your view on love and marriage iss different from mine
