Like most celebrity's this spider does not like Paparazzi's lol. How does it catch prey? Does it use that leaf?

i dunno the use of the web on the leaf, maybe a temporary shelter.
they belong to the so-called running spiders and usually hunt a prey without the help of web.

hi again.
i looked up a japanese spider database.
this species (red-striped running spider) makes a nonsticky web only in juvenile stages (until 6 or 7th instars).
after that they weave only a catwalk (or spiderwalk?) scaffolding.
