@isaacso95 I guess because he thinks that it sounds better to have some American touch in the accent or that it is more suitable for their music and style. He doesn't have a pure American accent. But yes, he seems to try to get rid a little of the British accent.

Was it something particular in this video that you thought he used an American accent?

Normally when he talks, like in interviews, it definitely sounds British.
