I am so glad that Earth will survive this. It will take quite a lot of time, but Earth will survive. It is us that we're on trouble.

The dieing of the old system will be accompanied by famine, war, violence disease old systems don't phase out gently. A new system without fusion energy can only support milions not billions. Don't you new age wookies forget about that.

A sustainable economy is a long way from us but necesary transition might take a century. It will be a dark age in wich some technologies knowledge history and culture will be lost. I hope Im proven wrong and something like fusion energy will save us.
