Horsfield Tortoise Bath

Here is my Horsfield Tortoise Czar having his bath.

I bath him every other day in tepid water, chin deep, which promotes them to drink and helps keep him free of muck & mud after he's been digging!

They also use this opportunity to Pee & Poop. Which is good, because it means they are hydrated well, and not passing cloudy/chalky urates & while it's not overly pleasant, you can see their poop is as it should be.

Mine has a 5 to 10 minute paddle every other day and he likes going into the deeper end to have a drink.

Remember tortoises DO NOT SWIM, they are not turtles!!
