Fun Fact: Shooter started writing Legion of Super Heroes because he thought it was the worst comic book there was and thought "pfft. I can write better shit then this." This is from the forward from a recent legion TPB collection.

Jim Shooter is such a misunderstood genius. It's really criminal how he was actually blamed for things he had nothing to do with (the Kirby artwork debacle, etc) while given no credit for rescuing a company that was in decline.
