  • @Jantv81 how about Reagen

  • @Jantv81 wait what about clinton

  • @Jantv81 is that why we're still number one?

  • Nixon's and Ford's speeches were historical. But they announced corrupt and self-serving acts. Nixon resigned, not to spare the country, but to escape almost certain impeachment and possible criminal charges. Ford--the unelected VP—likely cut a deal, agreeing to pardon Nixon before Nixon would resign.

And Reagan--how completely false for one to aspire to the highest office in a government of the people while simultaneously denouncing that government as the problem.

  • @truecinema Nixon was not ever at any time awesome. His only contribution was peacemaking with China- and relieving us from the Vietnam War. Every president after Kennedy has allowed our country to go downhill.

  • Harry S. Truman is my fav. president, "You can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

  • I think my favorite was the George Bush first and Kennedy!

  • @hiddenhawk13 It was Johnson that got us into vietnam, dumbass.

  • wow best carter was his acceptance...lol

  • @hiddenhawk13 Nixon didn't get us "deep into the un winnable war of Vietnam." He gradually pulled the troops out and conducted isolated operations to ensure ARVN sufficiency against the NVA. He also opened trade relations with China, a then-rival of the U.S. He also improved relations with the Soviet Union and signed a nuclear arms treaty with them, so as to decrease the danger of a nuclear war.

    Nixon was, indeed, awesome.

It's just that Watergate overshadows it all.
