Distance from Home Plate to Second Base (how far is home to 2nd)

A lot of catcher's have been asking me what the distance was between home plate and second base. I didn't really know how far home to 2nd was so I had to do a little math. I used the pythagorean theorem to find the distance between home and second base.

ok, so im just letting you know, and that the pythagorean theorem was only for right triangles, this is a triangle with a 90 degree angle, so techniaclly you wouldn't be able to devise a formula with said theorem

@ffshooter19 isn't a 90 degree triangle a right triangle? and there is a 90 degree angle in this formula (either at 3rd base or 1st base...whichever way you are looking at it) right?

Should I be worried that "a lot of his catchers" feel it's easyer to send him an e-mail asking and wait for 2 weeks, instead of doing some 30s math? This is not quantum fisics! It's 7th grade math!
