Jason Anker talks about the day he took a risk at work and what it cost him, his family and friends.
Jason was paralysed in a work place accident when he was 24 years old. His accident was avoidable - it happened because a ladder he was using wasn't tied on properly. He didn't speak up because he didn't want to be ribbed by his workmates. He took a risk and he lives with the consequences today.
Jason can't change what's happened to him. He tells his story because he wants you to think about health and safety training in a different way. He doesn't want you or your family to end up in the same situation as him.
