I did the same to my F4U Corsair a few months back now but mine are just normal LED's,they don't work with the TX so they have to stay on but i wat hoping you could let me know where you got your set-up if thats ok,you can take a look at mine if you like as i have a video up,5 stars.

No 9 volt battery needed-just plug the JR plug into an open channel-(gear) and you're set. Very simple, and very BRIGHT!
