@synchro505 there's a program called MusicStudio for Windows that composes C64 songs and exports them in .prgs and hex data, not too sure if it does SIDS.

Is this the program people used to create .PSID (.SID) files eventually used in the demo scene? Do emulators exist to create new .SID files for Windows/Linux/OS X, etc.?

nope, this program let you create some music readable only with Music Processor, less powerfull that what demoscener could do un SID music. If i'm right the SID was music in machine language...
