another way i discovered to check if the battery is dead, is to point the controller at whatever device it controls and push a button, if nothing happens, its more than likely the battery is dead! That ones for free. check my channel at teachingidiotstosuckeggs for more.

or you can point it at you TV and press power to test

Cool i could just get up get my cell phone turn the camera on and look at the screen instead of just pointing it at the tv. very efficent way. NOT! cool idea though
