SJC Drums At NAMM 2012

SJC's 2012 NAMM booth was the usual patchwork of science projects, from a bird's eye maple kit that lit up from inside the shells to an 8" acrylic snare mounted inside a 14" acylic snare to a while pearl inlay set inside a triple flange hoop and an enormous proliferation of badge types. SJC never falls short of cool ideas.

That snare with the tube in it sounds really great! I love that dry crack it has, and the really short sustain. I wonder how much they cost?

I'm not sure that the pvc tube or the snare-in-snare will be the next big thing, but I like that the folks at SJC are being creative and innovative. That parkay floor wrapped snare is a work of art.

i got to play that drumset it sounds awesome and powerful. snare in a snare sounds really awesome in person too.
