Haha, Windows battery vs MAC battery. What are you dudes smoking? OS will influence at most 10% of battery life. Other factors include: computing load, software being run, time on battery vs time connected to power adapter, battery physical quality.

Ive seen batteries on laptops that date back to the mid-90's, and the only normal sign of wear that should be apparent is reduced battery life. Any kind of bulging is an indicator of a serious manufacturing defect, along with crappy quality control.
