video game designers could learn from a game like this *HINT* look at how emotional some scenes can be, not at the violent killing ( can be fun but loses its appeal after a while) try to get the player to love the game for the game features.

Yeah, Cloud Sep, Tifa, Aeris are all great characters, but hey, I even liked Biggs, Jesse, and Wedge, I was sad to see them go to, whole sector crushed by a metal plate. I remember that scene shocking me just as much as Aeris Death.

Yeah, I've actually been waiting for another game to capture my attention like FF7 did, its yet to happen. I learned quickly after FF8 that the FF7 effect will be hard to duplicate.

@Lchama1 You really said it all right there ^^ Some people think that someone being effected my a mere video game is just crazy, but if you think about it, today, it's a culture. ^^ Anyway, I love this game to death. By far the greatest ever made, just like the cover says lol

anyone else think games today sucked compared to this one? they dont even play as long as this one. graphics have gotten better but play time and emotional impact (MYTMIC) has gone way down. badass amv by the way

I've been thinking the same thing ... and came to the conclusion, that we are getting old as well. When I think of FFVII it is like a memory of a life I actually lived. Like a precious childhood memory because I could get involved back then. nowadays I play games without getting emotionally consumed by them anymore. and I think it is not only the game's fault.
