  • Have you ever compared that pickup to regular Tele singlecoil?

  • @jeTTa002 Yes - I have compared it to a regular Tele-single coil bridge pickup. In fact, three of my other videos use Tele pickups. The Filtertron is not quite as bright, has a little more midrange, and is very quiet. It handles gain extremely well - sounds absolutely great IMHO with a medium-hot level of gain.

  • gREAT VIDEO DEMO. tHANKS.......QUESTION IF I MAY ? IS THAT A START NECK ON YOUR TELE ? iF SO, I WAS THINKING OF BOLTING ONE ON ONE OF MY TELE'S FOR A WIDER STRING SPACING FOR MY FAT FINGERS. ANY IDEAS ARE WELCOME. THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR GUITAR TONES ETC. ROCK ON !!!!! BILL

  • @BILLYBOBSTUNES Thanks Bill! I still love this guitar! The neck in the video was off a cheap Tele-copy called something like NY Jr. It was okay for a while, but now I have an Allparts TRO-22 neck on it that I love. It's a little wider than a standard Tele neck, and nice and chunky.

  • I have a BEAUTIFUL figured-ash SVK Thinline/Custom hybrid...the stock humbuckers are just dark, muddy.......BLEH, in definitive terms, LOL. Tried a guitar similar in layout to yours today...think I may have found this guitar's salvation yet with some 'Trons...

  • @bowslap Gotta love the tone from the Filtertrons! And the Gretsch ones are reasonably priced too.

  • @Hoopermazing Never mind... I see that it does.

  • Traditional Esquire Switching: Does that mean that it has the infamous "Mud Setting."

  • At the end of the video I was playing the opening riff from Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh. The other stuff was just noodling.

  • were you playing party in the USA?
