My grandma always tells me she never wants to be cremated. When I asked her why, she told me: ''During a cremation, the soul is ripped apart from the body''. I find that pretty intresting.

Why do the coffins being cremated look better made than the ones for burial in the UK? I realize the ones shown being made are a cheaper alternative for burial.

I want to be interred in a Mausoleum, middle drawer. But most likely will be buried amongst my family when my time comes. BTW
A couple years ago my father-in-law was cremated. Some of the family wanted a viewing so we purchased a coffin for the viewing that was cremated with him. We received his ashes back in a few days. A few months later we put his ashes in the river, a place he loved.

Kinda ironic an no smoking sign inside the crematorium ^_^

I consider myself to be a fairly rational person - but ever since I can remember I have had this abiding fear of not actually being dead when the time comes for disposal of my flesh. You know how it goes...as they slide me into the cremator...the clang of the door wakes me up. Gawd. Mind you, one of those quick blasts of jet flame to the chest cavity should dispatch me for *good* quickly enough, and is of course preferable to contemplating my predicament while encased in a box six feet under

@Lionstar16 i dont blame her, its sacrilege to even call them flowers, they have tacky wrote all over them lol
I have great respect for Richard Wilson for covering this 'issue' It makes one think about ones own mortality and what, if anything, happens next!

How interesting......8lbs at birth and you end up 8lbs at death.
