Larry Wessels, Director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV; see websites: BIBLEQUERY ORG, HISTORYCART COM & MUSLIMHOPE COM) debates Roman Catholic scholar Dr. Robert Fastiggi of Saint Edward's University located in Austin, Texas on the question of whether the Roman Catholic Church preaches the same Gospel as the Bible does or does it preach a man-made counterfeit. The apostle Paul gave a tremendous warning and threat in Galatians 1: 6-9 concerning the importance of preaching the correct Gospel because the consequence for preaching a false Gospel is eternal damnation for the preacher and his followers ("I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."). One can then understand why the great Reformer Martin Luther in church history had said, "Previously I said the Pope was the Vicar of Christ. I recant. Now I say the Pope is the adversary of Christ and the apostle of the Devil". Virtually all of the historic confessions of faith of the major Protestant denominations hold that the Pope is the very Anti-Christ mentioned in 2 Thessolonians 2:3-12. There are so many verses in scripture that contradict RCC theology Rom 4:5 utterly condemns the System of salvation by masses penance priests etc, bible teaches that salvation is gift of God not of works & this gift is freely given by God to those who trust in the merits of Christ's finished work on Calvary, the RCC SYSTEM is a demonic counterfeit to keep the lost RCs on the broad road to hell

@kiwichristian2009 Well said Brother! Romans 4:5 states, "Now to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on Him that JUSTIFIETH the ungodly, his FAITH is COUNTED for RIGHTEOUSNESS." Romans 11:6, "And if by grace, then is it NO MORE OF WORKS: otherwise GRACE is no more GRACE. But if it be of WORKS, then is it NO MORE GRACE: otherwise WORK is no more WORK." So are the Jews according to you(because it differs with Protestants) going to heaven or hell? To us, APOSTOLIC(not necessarily ROMAN Catholic) Christians, we believe that there are some amongst other faiths, be it JEWS, Moslems, Buddhists, Hindus, and etc., who might go to heaven too, because it is also NOT ABOUT calling yourself a Christian and not believing, we have to see BEYOND the LABLES, Titles, Identities and etc.

False prophets always digress from the clear teaching of the Word of God (the Bible - see our website BIBLEQUERY ORG for more on this). Jesus said it Himself, "I am the way, the truth, & the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). Jesus said not many will be saved in Matthew 7:13-14 & that includes unbelieving Jews & false prophets.

plus peter never went to Rome. Paul greets many people in his letter and does not mention peter.

I`m a Catholic and tired of those in the Christian family who want to sit boastfully in judgement of my Christian faith with accusations that are not true to my faith.

I as a Catholic have never been taught nor do I believe that Salvation is earned by works, Infact the opposite is true that Salvation has already been earned by Christ and that we are not capable of earning such grace. However works is important.

Put simply The Roman Catholic system is a front for the kingdom of Satan.

Romanism denies Christ in a multitude of ways (see our 16 hr video series called ROMAN CATHOLICISM SERIES -type LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM in the Youtube search box to find it- covering ways Christ's gospel is denied). Christ is denied by: 1. Making the Pope the Vicar of Christ, 2. Exalting Mary to "Co-Redemptrix & Mediatrix" with Christ, 3. Putting tradition on par with scripture, etc.
