  • thank you God for preachers like Paul Washer!

  • @PureGraceEvangelism Do you not remember that Jesus said that salt without flavor isn't salt at all? Yes we are justified by faith. But what is faith? It isn't just belief in the mind, but belief in your heart. If you have true faith, then your lifestyle will give evidence to that...God will make you a new creation...you won't do the things you used to do. A born again Christian wages war against sin and is broken when he/she falls...because he/she hates sin.

  • He/she hates sin because it is opposed to God....it prevents them from giving themselves completely to the Christ who died for them. A person who is not born again doesn't wage war against sin, but is a slave to sin.....sometimes they are broken, out of fear of Hell.....that's not true contrition.

  • what beat is this ???

  • @PureGraceEvangelism but once again, i'm not talking about you, because you seem very sincere to me from what you do. It's obvious to me you love Jesus. We need to watch what we say about brothers and sisters because it can be very detrimental, but then again Jesus is in control of everything.

  • @PureGraceEvangelism We may think we belief in Jesus but only our works will tell in the end, if we built our houses of things perishable or things unperishable. I believe that is who Jesus is referring to about the guy who came to the great wedding feast without the right clothes are the ones who profess to believe in Jesus but they are deceived by their heart and the works in their lives show it.

  • @PureGraceEvangelism Jesus said we need to love him more than our own lives and the lives of our family if we want to follow him. Jesus also said if we love him then we must obey his commandments. You can call that legalistic, but its straight from the Lord's mouth. A "believer" who hasn't forsaken his life isn't in danger by Paul's preaching, He is already on his way to hell, because of his own unbelief. Remember the parable of the man who sold all for the treasure in the field.

  • @PureGraceEvangelism Wheats and tares. Sheep and goats. A Jew who professed to believe in Christ long ago was usually dead or cut off from family and community. I wouldn't doubt it if it still goes on today. A Gentile who professed their belief in Jesus and authority in him and his Word alone during the time of the rule of the Catholic church was most likely called a heretic and persecuted as such, to the death. Now a days anyone can call themselves "Christian" without giving anything up.

  • "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice." Ephesians 4:29-31
