actually u dont really need more the 6 colours or 5 u can mix anithing from yellow red blue white and brown (maybe black)!!!!!!!!!!

hi. what is the benefit of base coating with gesso and do you use any to help in blending or anything to retard drying time?

I was wondering how you use Gessied Masonite boards. Are you supposed to use them like regular canvas boards? And What's the difference?

@rikuzxbf You can gesso masonite hardboard in any sixe (or shape) and use it like a canvas panel. It differs that it is a smooth surface (after you sand the gesso coats) which can give you finer details and smoother gradations... although neither of those features are evident in this work... as this painting was sized to fit a frame I had and it was faster to saw out and gesso a piece of masonite than to build custom stetcher bars.
