The goal:
Build a machine that starts by pulling a string. The machine will wait at least 3 seconds, then move forward at least 0.5m but not more than 1m. It will wait at least 3 seconds and put a ball into the target array. It will wait at least 3 more seconds, put another ball into the array, wait at least 3 more seconds and place a third ball. The machine will then celebrate in a manner determined by you.
The target array is ten 5-gallon utility buckets arranged in a pyramid. A ball into the first (closest) row is worth 5 points, the second row is worth 10 points, the third row is 15 points, and the final row 20 points.

The restrictions:
1. You may use any material(s) you want except, Nothing may be made of metal. The total cost of materials in the final machine should be no more than $45. No chemical energy. No compressed gasses. No liquids. Nothing messy (you leave it on the floor, you clean it up)
2. Your machine must touch the floor, but may not adhere to it. It may not touch any other architectural elements of the room.
3. Presentations will take place in the atrium of Building 500.
4. All parts of the machine must travel with it.
5. The machine must start not larger than 50cm x50cm x 50cm.
6. The machine will start when you pull a string not more than 10cm.
7. The „ball will be a golf whiffle-ball. A sample will be provided to each team.
8. The balls will be provided by the teaching staff on presentation day.
9. The bucket is a 5-gallon utility bucket from Home Depot.
10. You may not modify the playing field in any way.
11. You will have 2 minutes to set up and 2 minutes to present.
