Addio Africa trailer for Sat 25 April 2009 BFI Southbank,London

A documentary record of the historic UK premiere of directors, Gualtiero and Jacopetti's Goodbye Uncle Tom or Addio Zio Tom, a mondo documentary exploring slavery in the US at the time of the civil war as well as its legacy in the 20th Century - produced and devised by David Somerset. The film screening resulted from collaboration between the African Caribbean consultative group working in conjunction with the BFI Southbank. Special thanks to all participants, including the panel members, film directors, Dami Akinussi and John Akomfrah. Special thanks also to Eddie Harrison for shooting and editing this video documentary as well as colleagues, friends and allies who contributed to enabling a record of this important cultural event. Thank you for posting this, i have been trying to get people to watch this film for the longest. It's a very important film, at least all my Black humans should see it, we must never forget what has been done to us and how we arrived to this miserable state.
