Worshippers of St George have a novel way of venerating him. They rub themselves with the chains that once held their martyr. Uniquely, the faithful are both Christians and Muslims. Locals in Bethlehem are proud
that St George was a Palestinian. They call him Al Khader and regularly pray at his church. "We love Al Khader deeply", states one woman. Belief in the Saint helps unite local Muslims and Christians.

  • St George, pray for us!

  • beitanan101 This is the truth on the ground.. two religions converging through the interjection of one of the greatest saints. Worshipping saints DOES NOT diminish God's importance, they were humans just like we are and they show us that it is truly possible to reach sainthood. God bless us all and may Saint George protect us all.

  • Saint George was a great Christian Martyr. He is great indeed, but the Messiah Lord Jesus Christ is much much much more Greater. Praise The Lord, Praise To Lord Jesus Christ.

  • you can call him palastenian but the truth he is lebanese, because that was the name of the whole area.

    so basically he is lebanese.

Lebanon is known to be one of the top chrisitan country, and the strongest middleastern chrisitans.

  • He is Palestinian, indeed. George was born after the land had been officially named Palestine by the Romans in AD 134.

  • @MediterraneanSmiles

VENERATING saints, not worshipping them. :)

  • Christ loves His saints and His church and thats why he gave the apostles the power to make miracles but truly it is Christ who is making the Miracle on the hands of His saints.

Christ is the Healer of the Sick, The Resurrection and The One True and only God, that appeared to us in the Flesh.

The Term "Son of God" is not a literal so, ie got got married and had a son nooo but the Word of God taking Flesh through the Holy Spirit and appearing to us (as Christ).

    God Bless everyone

  • Edward was canonized in 1161 by Pope Alexander III, and is commemorated on 13 October by the Roman Catholic Church, the Church of England and other Anglican Churches. He is regarded as the patron saint of kings, difficult marriages, and separated spouses.[3] From the reign of Henry II of England to 1348 he was considered to be the patron saint of England, when he was replaced in this role by Saint George, and he has remained the patron saint of the Royal Family
