  • on 11/17/2008: erica, i am telling people about your video, because there are so many people that do not know our story, that do not see us as people, people who are born, people who live, people with dreams. . . people who died for no other reason. . . than being themselves. we who are alive, we must tell our story for those yet to be born, those still alive, and those who died for no other reason. . . than being themselves. so no one else will die for no other reason than being themselves.
  • That was beautifully said. Thank you so much.

  • Video shared on my Facebook, liked, and hopefully others on my profile will see this and start to understand, being yourself is no reason to die. I want all transgenders to know that I for one am so sorry that people do this to you. I love you all, and hope you can all have wonderful, fear-free, love-filled lives.

  • As a transgendered individuale I am verry moved by this vedio. What is even more sad than the vedio is the all to real fact that the intolerance is so common. We do need to do something to stop the needless hatred.

  • thank you for this! i am posting a link on facebook right now! GOD bles you for this one! as a preoperative transsexual woman i thank you from the bottom of my soul for this one!

    much love,

    Erin Elizabeth

  • All good people I'm sure they did not deserve that fate , Transgender people especially MTF's need to be better protected since they are at very high risk of attack from hate crimes !!!! RIP all !!!

  • J'Noel Gardiner was run out of her home, her job and her country by christian bigots disregarding the law when her husband died. She says she struggles to stay alive and wants to go to hell to escape the christians but she's still walking tall and proud. Please light a candle for her and others who struggle every day without the protection of the police or society and face homelessness no matter how hard they work to serve their employers and community.

  • Not many things get me choked up like this vid, in a good way though. Thanks! We all have a long road to travel......Love!

  • Great Linda!

  • I am a 78 year old transgender woman, I started my transition 5 years ago after nearly 70 years of confusion. Life is much better now and I really believe will continue to improve for us all, People are begining to understand what we have gone through throughout our lives just trying to be ourselves.

  • at least don't hurt yourself that would be sad. hope things get better for you.

  • hope: 11/15/2008

mlk jr is smiling right now.

    smiling for justice defended.

smiling that the Book he so fervently believed in as an instrument of peace and love,

can still be turned into a shield against violence and hate.

    and . . .

    we SHALL overcome!!
