argh.... everyone has these videos that are all about the obvious. What about installing stuff that doesn't show up in the package manager. Like when you download a tar.gz file from some site. That's where it gets complicated and people need some help.

What if I got a tar bz2 file? How do I install those? I know that they are ZIP type archives but what do I do with them? I wish it was just Drag and Drop like Windows...

i cant install any program from cd or dvd linux is trash dificul and heavy work i hane pain in my head i want to install driver for my webcam and nothin fuck linux ubunto windows witn problen bur is easy

y install ubuntu but when y whant to open a executable file of a video says tu donload a specific software and when y start do download a error apears with no network setting or connection but y have a working conection whats happening

The easiest way is, download the file from the site or whatever...open up terminal, and just drag the installer into terminal and viola
