This just in: Del Toro leaves the Hobbit
(Sighs) Every delay that has been put into the production of The Hobbit makes me weep. I can't imagine who else could take over now that MGM's has tested Del Toro's patientce for too long. Threating to stay for 6 years than a planned 3 years. Please, if MGM has such financial woes, would a prosperous studio(Fox with Avatar?) gladly participate to get this project off the ground? The whole world wants to revisit Middle-Earth.

this movie will either be made or broken for me depending on how they portray Smaug. I have such a vivid picture of him thanks to the John Howe illustrations.

I personally can not WAIT until this is made live. When the 'cartoon' version of this story was created I was very impressed not to mention FREAKED out by the spiders in it. Although I was slightly disapointed in the LOTR animated versions that was made on a much lower budget then Hobit. But I feel it was because they smooshed so much of a story up. But yes ...enough of my ramblings. Back to the squealing! ^_^
