This is our Fun Part 1, Part 2 we hope to see the fermentation and bottling of the champagne... Excited!!
I have more 'greenie' vids in the making so keep an eye on my channel garden & eco lovers!
We watched Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's Spring episode and were inspired to give the Elderflower Champagne a go. I found the recipe at the following link: http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/chefs/hugh-fearnley-whittingstall/elderf...
Elderberry Trees aren't common in the North Island of NZ but a friend from work had one blooming in her backyard.

  • i found the stems made my batch bitter. i used a new hairbrush to gently brush the flower heads away from the stems. works a treat.

  • @oreilzac Sounds interesting! We did end up trying the elderflower champagne during Christmas time but it could have one with alot more fizz - totally fun to create it though! Good old river cottage inspiration!

  • @hevikokki not old - bought specifically to trial this, we made this once and never again - too much hassle

  • What's with the vinegar ?.....

  • Looks great, very helpful, except that anything hot in plastic means that plastic goes into you and anything you pee on, and that's bad for everyone.
