This video shows the steps that I have taken recently, to build the windscreen for the "My Roadster" project. So far I have been working on "Mr Roadster" for approx 18 months.

The basic construction is out of "U" section mild steel and 50mm x 5mm flat stock. The glass is laminated and BS marked approved and is 8.8mm rather than the 6.4mm that is standard. The rake of the screen is set to approx 40 deg. I also integrated the side mirrors mounting points into the screen pillars.

Of intrest, some of you will have noticed that the screen seal is actually made up of a cut inner tube that my girlfriend (Sharon) cut for me, and this turned out to be a perfect fit!!

Finally, the whole thing was painted in satin black.

  • Yet another great video , I love the design , it should be very strong and it looks great besides , what more could you ask for . The workmanship is top quality as is the design , Makes me go back and look at mine again .

The car is looking great and seems to have attracted a lovely apprentice , It's always more fun to have someone to share the experience with . Keep up the good work , can't wait to see the next installment ......
