@MrNickOnUTube no, mostly all the new backboards are made with a spring, but its covered up. thats the big orange box right below the rim.. and yes, they made it so you can endure dunking.

@MrRR82 Bring the excitement of professional basketball into your backyard with the 98874 Mammoth basketball hoop. The 98874 Mammoth system has a regulation sized 72 x 42 inch backboard with a 48 inch offset from the pole. The 98872 system has larger pole than the other Mammoth basketball hoops and adjusts from 7.5 to 10 feet just like the other Mammoth systems....................I like this better than Goalrilla because my 6 year old son can lower or higher the system with ease.
