Man, I'll never forget visiting New York, walking out of Central Park and standing right in front of Dana Barrett's apartment building. I became a 5 year old all over again, except I said to myself "I remember the building being a lot taller in the movie."

The exterior firehouse scenes were shot on N. Moore st in manhattan...the interior was a firehouse in LA :)

In the movie it does look bigger becuz there was 10 stores added to the building (painting)

i thought they used a firehouse in LA for filming because they couldnt find a suitable one in NY?

That's on Central park West (8th Avenue) The Ghostbuster's firehouse or headquarters is in Lower Manhattan on N. Moore Street, Just in case anyone would like to know!!!
