  • Hey there...I have a Red Lored Amazon too n he started making tht same noise in Spring...according to my friend its a mating call lol. Wilf was doin it on n off every day for about a month but seems to have stopped again now...if u look on my videos u will see I have some of him making the same noise...he always plays with a certain toy when he does it...apparently they sometimes rub themselves against things when they are doing it lol. x

  • Thats right, its her mating noise. And she's probably a she.

  • @parrotlv

    You are absolutely RIGHT!

  • Ya that is what I figured out but can u tell if that is a male or female by the gestures the bird is doing

  • thats his/her mating noise

  • My red lored does the same thing, it's mating stuff.

  • well u can sex them by there eyes apparently...the boys have a more orangey/gold colour eyes where the girls are more browny coloured. Wilfs are very definitely orange. Again like with Greys this isnt totally accurate so ya have to have them DNA tested to be sure. x
