Randall T2 High Gain

This is the second recording using my Randall T2H that i did using impulse response. It is far better than the last one. Just doing some riffs that might become songs.

As the title suggests, the gain is pretty cranked, but why else would you own a Randall :D

For the signal i used Jackson KVX10 w/ Blackouts - Ibanez TS7 - Randall T2 - digidesign mbox mini- pro tools le 7 - voxengo boogex

Voxengo boogex is free and there are an absolute ton of impulses hanging around! Obviously you will need to tweak your tone for each guitar / pickup configuration you have and then you might have to do a little post eq!

I ended up scooping around 4-500Hz and 1.5-3kHz and also boosting around 8k.
Hi pass and lo pass filter it to save some bandwidth for the bass and drums!

@LesbosdePorne You can probaby find the T2 going real cheap, it also depends on the sound you want! 6505 is the modern metal sound, Randall is something different! You might want to try them if you can!

how does that randall sound on its own? are you pushing with the TS7? If so how hard? I'm finally shopping for a tube amp, and these caught my eye

@Thepoison617 I usually use it without a tubescreamer if I'm playing with a cab, It sounds great with or without to be honest. The best thing to do is try amps you like!

Hmmmmm. Nice tone. Probably some of the best Randall I've heard, and mixed well. Some slight tricks and the riffage could be stimulating.
