Another Nepali Store Clerk Killed in Robbery - Video Courtesy Fox News

A Fort Worth store clerk was killed as the result of a robbery on Tuesday morning, police said.

A beer salesman found Jasbahadur Rai, 48, about 7 a.m. at the TL Food Store in the 3200 block of East Lancaster Avenue, police said. He was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital where he died.

The beer salesman saw a man, who may have been the assailant, drive away in a Ford Explorer, police said. He was described as a black man, about 6-1 and 170 pounds, wearing a blue hoodie with vertical tan stripes.


The 48-year-old was hospitalized but later died.

Police arrested 46-year-old Leonard Junior Coulter and charged him with capital murder.

Friends of Rai said he was a kind man who did not deserve to lose his life.

"He's a sweet guy. He never did nothing wrong. I'm quite sure if they asked him for the money he would have gave it to them. They didnt have to kill him like that," Robert Davis said.

Rai's family members said he was originally from Nepal, and that he had a 19-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter.
