EDIT: Having problems buying resources etc? Markets running dry? Yep, it's a buggy problem. Here's a script solution with instructions, courtesy of LordPayne:

PART 2: Interaction with buildings and creating/running a business.

Since Renaissance doesn't come with a tutorial, I thought I'd make one.

Well. That was the plan. Unfortunately I had issues with using Fraps, CamStudio and several other screen-capture programmes; so I ended up falling back on my trusty old Handycam.

  • thanks sooo much! This game is not as intuitive as others like the Sid Meiers games-- yet it had not a single scrap of paper for a guide! Would have quit playing is you hadn't done this tutorial!

  • @Nordicnorn Ah, Sid Meiers...I still play the original 1989 Civilization on a reguar basis. Glad to have helped =)

  • @LairMistress P.S. Plus, I love your voice and delivery. It's very reassuring...:)

  • These are great tutorial videos! Without them, I'm not sure I would have known where to begin when I first installed this game a couple of weeks ago! By now, I've pretty much got the hang of family life, local trade and commerce, etc. I'm still trying to figure out how the guild contracts, sending resources to other towns, etc. work; but my character recently got elected Patron Guild Elder for Bergen without even trying, so I'd best get to work on that intercity commerce stuff...

  • @smunn02 Arlight, well you don't have to do anything just hover the mouse over the office and look at the eletors section, thanks

  • @sadknife Try doing it via the town hall; go to apply for an office and then hold right mouse down over whichever office you want to know about - it should give you all the info, from what I remember

  • @smunn02 Well, I was in the Politics menu, I can't see the important offices menu...

  • @sadknife Are you in the "important offices" menu on the bottom right?

  • @smunn02 I tried holding the right mouse button and clicking it with and without my character but when I click it without my character it only puts the tab away, hold it and it shows the character holding the office's information, click it with my character makes him run over the the guy...

  • @smunn02 Thanks!
