  • In Germany we say : er hat eine Menge Moos=Geld. I understand this stems from Hebrew maot = yiddish maos, moos ??

  • I agree with this guy that a lot of the republicans are bad but he's just being a political tribalist because Obama continuing bush's policies in easy words he is against corruption when bush does it but it's fine when Obama does it

  • The German word for money, which is Geld, does have the same meaning in Yiddish.

  • @NeutralExistence I agree we need more inner party elections; I personally would have supported Nader, but that giant progessive leap just isn't possible right now. It's baby steps until we get to his ideals. Hopefully, enough "evils" in power (instead of the evilers), will allow us to get there. I also agree to remove the big banks, but I don't agree that States should be able to override federal law. If we go that route, we'll end up having just a whole bunch of crazy(er) states.

  • @damoninsky

They have in the past, but I fear that is just that "the past". There needs to be a radical change in the way democracy's elect their officials, no more inner party elections, elect the representatives ourselves not just vote for the party. I believe we also need multiple "presidents" to insure that the decisions are made in a light that reflects different regions. Bring back the ability for "State" laws to override federal law, and remove the private banking cartels.

  • @NeutralExistence There's no doubt they are similar, but I do believe the democrats are the lesser of the two evils. One can definitely provide excellent, condemning evidence of the democrats following the republican plans, but one can equally provide excellent examples of how the democrats actually do things to help people. Basically, anything the democrats have done that the republicans bitch about (which there are a lot of), is a good example. "same pawn"? No.

  • @damoninsky

You think "American" political party's you vote for changes the policy's that get put in place?

Sorry, your Democratic Republic fell many years ago.

Obama is the same pawn as Bush.

  • @darthgrahf How do you explain the Health Care Bill that the Dems just passed? How does that not help millions of children and citizens? They wanted to do so much more, but the republicans wouldn't hear of it...they just want to help out Big Pharma and the insurance companies (to protect the rich). It's not a mystery that the Dems are more moral...they are about spreading the wealth where the reps are about to-each-his-own...this is the fundamental difference between the two.

  • @damoninsky Moral? The Dems? Are we talking about elected officials here? There's no morality on Capitol Hill not matter what the party. If you think the Dems are hard working people with the citizens' best interests at heart, then...I wish I could be that cheerfully ignorant.

  • @darthgrahf Very true...the dems are so very far more moral than the reps, it isn't even funny.
