And besides if they were so concerned that is the Federal Reserve for many years about Fanny Mae etc. then why did they keep loaning them money? via the Federal Reserve banks such as Chase?damn people aren't stupid and I'm in SC

What I didn't like was the last tidbit that Bernie mentions,going with everything that Congress wants with the exception of monetary policy,which is basically so as long as we get to control the supply of the money were ok with changes.Hello controlling monetary policies allows them to print currency and flood the market driving the value down if they wish,that's stupid on our part to allow it to continue.amounts printed should only be authorized by the Treasury.Not bankers.

I can only imagine the amount of money that this man has had and will have stuffed in his pockets to continually sit there and take these verbal beatings. I'm not on Bernake's side but he must really owe some personal debt in order to say the things he does with a straight face.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a newscast one day where he jumped off the top of the Fed.

I doubt i agree with Demint on much of anything, but i agree that the fed should be audited.
