she had been given 3 stop warnings before getting kidnapped that she was going into FARC territory. the other woman kidnapped along with her even told her it was getting dangerous..but betancourt did not listen. she believed because she was a presidential candidate FARC would not kidnap her,wrong, her father would get her out of that mess and negotiate her freedom, while she was kidnapped her father died. i used to believe things she said but they are all lies.

@YTfancol I think FARC is the scumbag. A huge thorn in Colombia's side and almost a laughingstock that they hold so much control. Disgusting.

I bought her book-I worked in the book industry for 4 years. It's a well written book! I don't understand, nor do I want to, understand the hatred towards her in Colombia. FARC is the one these people should hate. They are an embarrassement-that Colombia allows those fools to run wild and cause so much distress. Shame

Larry King is an IDIOT!!!! Was the ordeal difficult? DUH! Were you raped?! Hello!
