I think that what Meese wants to tell us, on the lines of e.g. Peter Sloterdijk and the others, is that there is no individual, but rather that we are hostages of our subconsciousness (internally) and the complex interrelationships of the ever chaotic world (externally). Its the basic principle of antihumanism, or posthumanism. I think this is why Meese appears as a medium, not a person with his own thoughts and opinions.

thank you for posting this with subtitles, to hear him speak outside of his art or perdormance is illuminating. i just tonight returned from seeing meese in performance. he was in good form, very wonderful
