Love Bites—Chapter Nine
My heart started to race.
Could I keep a secret? What secret does he have? Am I meant to answer this? What would I say anyway?
My blood was pulsing through my body and as his face approached mine, closer and closer; I felt my breathing go uneven. He placed his ice cold hand against my face. I stared into his glowing eyes. They searched my face. Unthinkingly, I leaned forward and touched my lips to his. They were ice cubes on my mouth. My stomach filled with butterflies and my head started to whirl. He didnt move away and neither did I. Meshing them together more and more, I kept the kiss strong. He took his hand and ran it through my hair as I slowly leaned back on the couch. He was on top of me and I broke the kiss to breathe. I stared up at him and couldnt really believe that this was happening to someone like me. The most gorgeous creature wants me?
Joe: (Snapping his head up) Your dad.
Demi: (Sitting up quickly) Are you gonna leave?
Joe: I have to. (He kissed me quickly and it left a cool feeling on my lips) Bye Demi.
Demi: Bye, (I waved goodbye as he walked out of the house)
I ran upstairs.
What was I thinking? I dont know.
My mind was a blur. Crazy, insane, overloaded blur. I touched my fingers to my lips and they were still cold. That was the greatest thing ever and I smiled as wide as possible.
Dave: (Yelling) Demi, are you home?
Demi: (I ran downstairs) Yeah, whats up?
Dave: Nothing, just asking.
Demi: Oh, okay. (I walked over to the living room)
Dave: (Taking a seat right where me and Joe were) How was school?
Demi: School was . . . well, school. How was work?
Dave: Work was work. (He shrugged) You make any new friends?
Demi: I guess you can say that. (I smiled as I remembered the last twenty minutes. The greatest twenty minutes of my life thus far.) You know the Jonas family right?
Dave: Yeah, great kids. A little strange but theyre good people.
Demi: Yeah, theyre really cool. Selena was like my friend here.
Dave: You seem more like someone that would be friends with their other daughter.
Demi: (rolling my eyes) Miley?
Dave: Yeah, thats her name . . . you two friends too?
Demi: More like the opposite.
Dave: You two will come around. Now go upstairs and get some sleep. (He patted my back)
Demi: Night Dave.
I looked up at my ceiling then my head dashed to the window. Why was I seeing things? I walked over and looked out the window. Nothing. I walked back to my bed and pulled my laptop to my lap.
Demi: (Mumbling) MySpace, here I come.
I heard another noise at the window and ignored it.
Demi: Oh, new comments. (I smiled a little at my talking to myself)
Click clack against the window. It was getting annoying. I checked the new comments.
Taylor: Hows Wisconsin?! We all miss you here ;( Come and visit soon! xoxo
Jason: We need you back here D; miss you to death Dems! Comment back.
I threw my head up and saw something at the window. I put my laptop to the side of me and slowly approached the window.
Demi: Hello? (I looked out the window)
Joe: (Climbing through the window)
Demi: Joe?! You scared the shit out of me . . . (I held my chest)
Joe: (He smiled slightly) Im sorry.
Demi: What are you doing here? (I moved to my bed and sat down)
Joe: Can you keep a secret? (He sat next to me)
Demi: Is it really a secret?
Joe: Not anymore. (He grabbed my hand and held it tightly) You know I like you.
Demi: Well . . . (I nodded)
Joe: Do me a favor, will you? (He stared at me with piercing eyes. I melted every time I saw his maroon eyes.)
Demi: What is it?
Joe: Dont fall for me.

WHAT KIND OF SECRET IS THAT.......and COME ON JOE you can't really NOT expect her to NOT fall for you when YOU JUSS MADE IT HARDER FOR HER NOT TO!!! UGH guys these days OR more like VAMPIRES THESE DAYS......Opps i hope i didnt juss ruin the story for some VERY SLOW ppl LOL

i guess writers block makes you work harder into coming up with AWESOMER chapters ^_^
