Played on a cedar-top Makai soprano.
This is a song from MWOH's Rhythm of Youth album from 1982. I think of this song every November because it mentions "14th of November". So on November 15th I figured out the chords for it. The original is for synthesizer so it sounds much different from a solo uke! But, for what it's worth, here it is!
F# G#
There are things I will never remember
And there are things I will never forget
There are things I will cherish forever
And there are things I will always regret
C
Well I think that I'm in Scotland Em
And I'm walking through a forest in the rain
And I wonder if I'll fall in love again
Am+C F+C
We can never remember
G+C Em+C
the things we always forget
There are things you can buy in a drugstore
There are things you can hang on your wall
There are things you can read in the paper
There are things that do nothing at all
Well I think that I'm in Scotland
And I'm walking through a forest in the rain
And I wonder if I'll fall in love again
We can never remember
the things we always forget [E]
F#
Things like polyester pants and shoes G#
don't make it easy to remember
Was it here or yesterday,
or wasn't it the 14th of november
(interlude)
Bb - G# - Bb - G#
Well I think that I'm in Scotland
And I'm walking through a forest in the rain
And I wonder if I'll fall in love again
We can never remember
the things we always forget
C
Well, I think that I'm invincible Em
but when I think about it once again
I ask myself "is this the way things end?
We can always remember
the things we never forget
F - G - F - G - F - G
C - Bb - C - Bb - C
Nice version of a great track.
