  • Ok, one problem. He states that Rockwell made the software and A-B made the hardware. Rockwell bought A-B in 1985 and then in 1994 "Rockwell Software" was formed when Rockwell bought a small software company called Icom and renamed them Rockwell Software. They were all part of Rockwell.

  • Thank you for the History lesson. The speaker places little value in the details of Rockwell's company purchases. He just wanted to make the connection, if you hear Rockwell or AB, just know they are one in the same. :>)

  • There are no requirements for the Electronics Engineer as your background proves your ability to absorb the lessons at a reasonable pace. We do recommend a minimum of knowing what a normally open and normally closed contact is, as we start from the beginning. Even better is to understand the basics of relay logic or ladder logic.
