sorry dude, the movie never made it obvious that he went ssj2 (hair definition and electric sparks), and the movies aren't canon so you can't even consider it truly apart of the timeline. only three of the movies can "truly fit" since garlic occured b4 the series and had a filler, and bojack and hildergarn took place after each of its respected sagas were over. I don't even understand how you can diss me being a fan of dbz if i'm even bringing up this debate of cannonity.. O_o

kinda lame, gohan never went ssj2 in the broly movie. For what reasons, i don't know. Ehh, oh well, broly doesn't exist anyways, these movies don't even fit in the timeline anyways, except for bojack and hildegarn and the specials; and i guess garlic jr. since tomiyoma did that garlic filler after the frieza saga...
