Hasegawa and Sato Sensei told me that my weapons should never dip when bowing,
It looks as if Uke allowed his weapons to tilt forward during the salutation towards the Kamiza at the end of the Kata.

...if it doesn't work in it's basic form, then it will not work period. This is called enlightenment (Zatori) i.e. from a seated position (seiza position); This is what we should all strive for, be it Judo, Karatedo, Aikido, ART!

i remember doing that in judo classes i was the only there on day and sensei made the some thing pronounced as reke and gave me a knife hand strike in my belly that hurt and i could not do bawl or any thing that was a hell of a day

This is perfectly performed by senior judoka at the kodakan,does it get any closer to the origins of the kata than that?
Every school has it's own take on this kata, which is a 3rd Dan Judo kata used to show the self defence elements of Judo, hence the striking etc.I've seen and done this kata slow and as on this clip with the kia,it's a club preference.If you break down each move there is some workable self defence techniques in it if you know how to how to apply them training under pressure
