nVidia GTX 480 VS. ATi 5970 - Tesselation performance comparison

A quick video of comparing nVidia GTX 480's Tesselation performance to ATi's 5970. nVidia didn't show the average score so I tried to show the same places to show the FPS difference, with same graphics settings of course. Hopefully this video gives You a good overview on how well GTX 480 handles tesselation compared to 5970. Link to nVidia's video:

my first opinion on this was 'ATI are the best' because my pc has an ATI hd radeon 5670. but after going on game debate and comparing Nvidia's GTX 470 against ATI's 5970 they said the gtx 470 is 15% more powerful, and after checking the prices the 470 is around £200 where-as the 5970 is over £400. i dont understand why you'd pay double the price for a less powerful card

and a sinlge gtx 480 had 45+ fps around the dragon when your dual 5970 had only 29 no thanks i prefer NVIDIA :)

A 480 vs a 5970? I own a 5870 2gb and it can outperform a 480 most of the time(but not always). The tessellation is the only thing that gets it, and that will change soon, once the legal crap gets out of the way. Most bang for your buck is definitely ATI

nvidia still looks better, less visual tearing, better graphics. ATI is like having a Kia with a turbo charger in it, but it's still a Kia.

For now only i love Nvidia because of their new Gtx 560 and above using the new FERMI Tessellation engine to make those Tessellation while sacrificing less FPS then Ati. I'm waiting for the new Ati 7000 to be release on 2012 and compare Ati 7000 (Graphics Core Next Gen (GCNG) architecture) with Nvidia gtx 600 (Kepler architecture).

@arautbr almost everything you said is not true. the only real pro for nvidia users now adays is that their cards run quieter. ill stick to radeon to support a more ethical company and for the far superior anti aliasing options.
